As like her older sister Agata, Iga also wanted to become a tennis player and she was highly inspired by her sister. She always wanted to beat her sister and also used to compete with her when she was younger. Soon she showed her talent and dedication and her rise in the tennis world has been nothing short of spectacular.
In 2016, Iga made her debut on the ITF Junior Circuit and on the same year she also won her first title at the Salk Open in Sweden. She continued climbing up the rankings as well as winning more titles as the time passed.
On the WTA Tour in 2018, Iga made her debut by playing in the qualifying rounds of the BPN Paribas Open in Indian Wells. She gained valuable experience playing against the best players but could not be able to make it in the main draw. Soon she made steady progress in her career and later at the same year, she entered Grand Slam at the French Open but lost the first round to Victoria Azarenka.
After all the failures, she still continued to work hard and again in 2019, She joined on the WTA Tour and this time she Won her first WTA title at the Samsung Open in Lugano, Switzerland. Moreover, she also played for the quarterfinals of the French Open but eventually lost to Ashleigh Barty. However, in 2020 Iga finally managed to make a name for herself in French Open.
French Open in 2020 was a markable turning Point in Iga’s Life
Due to COVID-19 Pandemic the French open was postponed from its usual may- June to September-October, where iga presented her best moves till date. Although she entered the tournament as an unseeded player but soon, she made her mark by winning the first four matches without dropping a seat. In the fourth round she faced Simona Halep, who had won the French Open in 2018 and managed to produce a stunning display to beat her 6-1, 6-2, in just 70 minutes.
During the Quarterfinals, she had to face Martina Trevisan, an Italian qualifier. She was so strong this time that she won over her and reached her first Grabd Slam Semi-final. For the semi-finals, she faced Argentine Nadia Podoroska who was strong competitor to beat.

According to reports, Iga do not have a boyfriend, her relationship status is currently single. The famous polish tennis player is very fond of reading books. Moreover, she is an animal lover and owns a cat for herself. Iga is much more focused into her career and skills. She has not even seen to post anything regarding her LoveLife or relationship. The 21 years old Iga has made a breakthrough performance and became the youngest women to have a Grand Slam Trophy in this 21st century. She is making waves in the tennis world since her debut.
